Graduate Assistant Unionization Vote Next Week and the Maintenance of Status Quo

The election on whether Graduate Assistants will be represented by Graduate Labor Union-United Electrical (GLU-UE) happens next week Tuesday, April 25 - Thursday, 27. Eligible voters have been notified and will receive reminder messages next week. As a University, we believe in the election process and will respect and support the outcome. The official count of the ballots will take place on Friday, April 28, 2023 and the results announced publicly once they are certified.

The Maintenance of Status Quo will remain in effect until further notice. Should the measure fail, the Minnesota Bureau of Mediation Services has to officially lift the order and we would then notify units. Should the measure pass, we will communicate the next steps.
