HR Update
The University is rolling out a required online course on disability accommodations and inclusive design course to all instructors (faculty, instructional staff, and graduate teaching assistants) this spring. The course will take about one hour to complete. Instructors will be assigned the course on or around March 12, 2023. We are still determining the date by which instructors should complete the course. This required course was developed based on recommendations from the University Senate and a task force charged by Provost Croson. Individuals in the following job codes will be assigned and required to complete the course:

Some of your units may have special populations that fall within these job codes, but should not be required to complete the course. For example, certain faculty within the Medical School will be removed from the enrolled group because they are primarily employed outside the University and have only limited interactions with our students. If you believe that any groups within your unit that fall within the above-listed job codes should not be required to complete the course, please contact project manager Donna Johnson ([email protected]) by February 3, 2023.
University members who are not in the required enrollee group will be able to voluntarily opt-in to complete the training.
Tina Marisam and Donna Johnson will attend the February HR Leads meeting to answer any questions regarding the training rollout. If you have questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out to them directly.
