HR Update

The annual TRUST Awards celebrate women advancing efforts to help the health care industry boldly transform its future. The awards are presented by Women's Health Leadership TRUST, a professional network of women in health care.
As the chair of the Diversity Leadership Council for Greater Twin Cities United Way, Angel focused on reducing barriers to food security, economic sustainability, education, and healthcare.
She also served as a spokesperson for LifeSource as a staunch advocate for organ donation, appearing in videos on the LifeSource website, speaking with media, on podcasts and as a panelist. Uddin often speaks to the misconceptions communities of color have around organ donation and the benefits.
As shown in her work both at the University and in her positions in the community, Angel believes that many barriers are centered around misinformation and a lack of cultural competency. Angel also recognizes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to many of the issues facing us today and works with teams to find creative solutions. She meets people where they are on their cultural competency journey and demonstrates that advancing equity and inclusion is for everyone and not just those with marginalized identities.
