Your role during these three weeks is critical. As a leader or supervisor at the University, you directly influence the level of survey participation, trust in the survey process, and the impact this survey can have on your team, unit, College, and our University overall.
When faculty and staff notice their leaders visibly and actively supporting the survey, this can increase their trust and confidence in you and your level of investment in working to strengthen the work environment together. This can increase the likelihood that employees will take time to complete the survey, and share their honest feedback. In turn, with robust participation from your team, you gain valuable data and insights that can help you advance the work of your team or unit, or even advocate for where and how to prioritize resources, efforts, and planning – both with your own team, and via sharing and advocating to your own leaders too.
