Latest Negotiation Update
June 3, 2026
The University of Minnesota and the University Education Association (UEA), representing faculty at the Crookston and Duluth campuses, held their second negotiation session on June 3. This followed a May 14 clarifying session, where the parties met to clarify and ask questions about the initial proposals. Following these discussions, the parties reached several tentative agreements.
The next bargaining session is scheduled for July 7 for the University of Minnesota Duluth campus and July 11 for the University of Minnesota Crookston campus. The University remains dedicated to continuing a productive negotiation process.

The University of Minnesota and the University Education Association (UEA), representing faculty at Crookston and Duluth campuses, met on May 11, for the first session of the current negotiation cycle. During this meeting, the parties exchanged opening non-economic proposals for both campuses.
Both parties next meet on June 3 and will work to set the bargaining schedule. The University remains committed to a productive and collaborative process as negotiations move forward.
