AFSCME and Teamsters Wage Change Updates

Below is an update regarding the processing of AFSCME and Teamster wage increases following ratification of the collective bargaining agreements ( CBAs). These items are for HR Lead awareness. ELR has been working diligently to calculate the wage and market increases for each position and make edits to the CBAs. As part of the process, both AFSCME and Teamsters must also review and approve the wages and redlined versions of the CBAs.

Teamsters Contract Updates

  • Redlining of CBA including wages is now complete by the University and Teamsters 320.
  • ELR has finalized the edits into a final copy of the CBA that has been routed for proper signatures.
  • All changes to the CBA are in effect as of the approval of the Agreement by the Board of Regents on October 9. Wage and shift differential increases are effective as of July 14, 2025.
  • Instructions will be sent to units within the next week regarding retropay processing. The projected pay periods for wage increases and retroactive pay will be communicated in the instructions. We are diligently working to try to have the new rates reflected on the November 26 paycheck for the pay period of November 3–16.
  • We are also striving for retro pay to be processed in the December 1–14 pay period to be reflected on the December 24 paycheck. Please check the instructions for further processing information, including any local vs. central steps to be taken.
  • The updated CBA will be accessible via Active Contracts and Negotiations after it is fully executed with signatures. ELR has also been working to make the contract available in an accessible format, per the forthcoming regulatory requirements.
