New Employee Orientation Meetings

As your campus, college, and units prepare for Spring 2026 graduate assistant new employee orientation (NEO), keep in mind the NEO Meeting Guide requirement that if a NEO meeting is held, the union needs to be allowed up to 30 minutes of time with new hires. These requirements apply to all unions at the University, including LELS, 1-M, 1-B, IBEW, Trades Council(s), Teamsters, AFSCME, UEA-D, UEA-C, GLU-UE, CIR-SEIU, and AFSCME-LSLU. The employer requirements are listed in the statute.
