Forbes recognized the University of Minnesota as a Best Employer for Women for the third time. Award recipients were chosen based on an independent survey of more than 146,000 women and more than four million employer evaluations across three years. The University ranked 33rd out of 700 companies from across the U.S. and second out of Minnesota-based companies.
"We are proud to be named a Best Employer for Women again," said Ken Horstman, vice president of the Office of Human Resources. "This recognition reflects our commitment to offering a supportive and inclusive environment for women in all stages of their careers."
The University of Minnesota offers women communities of interest such as Mothers Leading Science, Women in Technology, Women’s Faculty Cabinet, and the Women's Center Leadership Institute, as well as offering Faculty and Staff Associations.
