Applying for the Regents Tuition Benefit Program is getting even easier! Just fill out a simple online form found on the policy website. You’ll be notified of your progress throughout the process.

Supervisors also benefit from this update. If you need to approve an employee taking classes during working hours, the approval form is delivered straight to your email inbox. Just click submit, and you’re set.

What is the Regents Tuition Benefit Program?

Through the program, full-time employees (75–100% appointment) can access undergraduate and graduate-level classes through the University. Employees can take classes through any University campus.

Employees who do not hold a bachelor’s degree can take classes for free if they have been accepted into a degree program. All other employees only pay 25% of the class cost. Note that fees outside of tuition (such as book costs or lab fees) are not covered by the Regents Tuition Benefit Program. Learn more on the About the Regents Tuition Benefit Program webpage

What if I can’t approve an employee’s request to take a class during specific working hours? 

Please talk with the employee about changing their class or work schedule. If you still can’t approve the request, you can discard the email, and the employee can resubmit if needed. 

How will I know if my request is denied? 

You’ll receive an email explaining why the request is denied.
