What are the Wellbeing Rates? How will I see them applied to my paycheck?
View the University’s medical plan rates (Google Sheet). (The 2027 rates will be added later this year.) See the right side of the spreadsheet for the Wellbeing Rates.
To check if you’re receiving the Wellbeing Rates, look under “Before-tax Deductions” on the left side of your first full paycheck in January 2026. If you aren’t receiving the rates and believe you should be, reach out to [email protected].
What if I’ve added or dropped a spouse from my medical plan?
If you added a spouse to your medical plan this year, you'll need to earn 10,500 points by August 31. If you've dropped a spouse from your medical plan, you’ll only need 8,000 points.
Can I earn a discount on my 2026 medical plan rates even if I’m not enrolled in a medical plan this year?
Yes! You can still earn points toward a discount on the University medical plan rates even if you’re not currently enrolled in a University medical plan. (You do need to be eligible to enroll with at least a 75% appointment though.) For example, if you earn your points goal by August 31, 2026, and enroll in a medical plan during open enrollment, you will receive the Wellbeing Rates in 2027. If you add a spouse to your University medical plan, you will still receive the Wellbeing Rates.
