Event Description:

Each year, 1 in 5 people will meet criteria for a behavioral health problem like depression or anxiety. These issues can have a profound effect on an employee’s work life. However, it’s rarely the case that people talk openly in the workplace about their struggles. You may suspect that a coworker is having a hard time but not know exactly what to do.

This workshop from Employee Assistance Program provider Lyra Health will help you recognize signs of distress in others. You'll learn strategies for offering help in both onsite and remote workspaces. Sometimes it’s as simple as expressing your concern and listening without judgment. Sometimes it’s wise to consult with others, like a trusted colleague or specialists before doing anything. With the guidance in this workshop, you will be better equipped to notice when something is going on and respond effectively.
