Supporting Employees and Their Families After Acts of Violence

Acts of violence, such as the shootings in Minneapolis this week, may bring grief and worry. Kids may also need help navigating their thoughts and emotions after traumatic events.

To support benefits-eligible employees and their dependents, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider Lyra Health offers the following resources:

  • Eight free therapy sessions per issue per year. Learn more about this confidential service.
  • A Care Navigation team for urgent needs. Call them at 877-295-8939 for 24/7 support.
  • Free virtual events, including ā€œCoping With Distressing Current Eventsā€ and ā€œWorking While Grieving.ā€ To register for upcoming events, log in to umn.lyrahealth.com > Library > ā€œFor workā€ > ā€œExpert-led events.ā€
  • Virtual on-demand resources on grief, loss, and managing distress. Access them by logging in to umn.lyrahealth.com and going to the Library tab.
