The Office of Human Resources (OHR) invites supervisors and eligible employee groups to learn more about navigating leave through OHR’s 2024 webinar series. 

For Supervisors

OHR invites all supervisors to learn more about the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). 

The FMLA is a federal law that provides eligible employees with job-protected leave for certain family and medical reasons. During these webinars, you will learn about: 

• What FMLA is and who’s eligible for leave 
• Reasons you can take FMLA leave 
• How to request FMLA leave 

These sessions will be led by the Leave Administration team. They will provide insights and answer any questions you may have about FMLA. Whether you’re new to the concept or need a refresher, these webinars are designed to empower you with the knowledge necessary to navigate FMLA with confidence. 

For Eligible Employee Groups

OHR invites eligible employee groups to learn more about parental leave. Webinars are available to the following employee groups: 

• Civil Service and Labor Represented employees
• Faculty and P&A employees 

During these webinars, you will learn about: 

• The parental leave policy at the University 
• How to take a parental leave 
• What benefits are covered during a parental leave 
• Resources during and after parental leave

These sessions will be led by the Leave Administration team. They will provide insights and answer any questions you may have about taking a parental leave.
