Help Managing Election Stress

The election season can bring stress and uncertainty. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider Lyra Health offers help with coping and self-care strategies for election-related stress. All events and resources are available to benefits-eligible employees, their spouses, and their children and other dependents.

Events

Lyra is offering “Coping With Election Stress” webinars throughout the fall:

  • Wednesday, September 4, 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 19, 11 a.m.
  • October dates to be added

To register, go to the Lyra "Events for work" page, then click on “Coping With Election Stress” to sign up for a webinar. (Note that you’ll need to log in or create an account to view the event schedule.)

Other Resources

  • Counseling. If you, your spouse, or your child or other dependent would like personalized support through the election season, Lyra offers up to eight counseling sessions per issue at no cost. Lyra’s providers are custom matched to you and have appointments available right away. Also, Lyra’s network providers are trained in culturally responsive care, a philosophy that guides mental health providers toward fully seeing and valuing all aspects of identity, background, and experiences.
  • On-demand courses, videos, articles, and live workshops. The Lyra Library has resources for coping with critical events, practicing mindfulness, navigating political stress in your work and personal life, and more, including manager-specific resources.
