Medica to Replace Fit Choices℠ Program

University medical plan administrator Medica will end its Fit Choices gym reimbursement program on December 31, 2023. Medica made this decision largely due to decreasing program use.

As of January 1, 2024, Medica members will be able to access a free digital fitness option. We will share more details later this fall.

Program users will be able to receive a $20 reimbursement through December 2023. Depending on the health club, the user will receive their last reimbursement in January or February 2024. More information about this transition will be shared this fall.

Can I earn Wellbeing Points for gym workouts through December?

The Wellbeing Program will not offer automatic points for gym visits for the 2023-2024 program year. However, you can still manually add your workouts and receive points. Learn how.

What other workout options are available through my University benefits?

The Wellbeing Program offers on-demand video fitness, mindfulness, and nutrition classes through Wellbeats via the Virgin Pulse portal. Wellbeats offers content for every age, gender, and ability level.
