Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Overtime Guidance

A federal judge blocked the Biden Administration's FLSA overtime rule, eliminating all parts of the rule, including the July and January thresholds. Units should cease all work in progress related to the January 1 threshold. 

The FLSA threshold for exempt-status employees will return to the pre-July rate of to $684 per week or $35,568 annually. The Office of Human Resources is exploring options to reverse the July changes for employees who were moved to non-exempt status, returning them to exempt status. OHR will share more information on this soon.
