HR Update

Access Changes for Suspended or Terminated with Cause Employees

Due to security protocols, Identity and Access Management has implemented access changes to the Google accounts and University logins of employees in two situations effective immediately:

  • Suspensions for Disciplinary Action: Employees suspended for disciplinary reasons (SUS/DIS action/reason) will have their access to University technology platforms automatically suspended within one day. They will not be able to log in Google Workspace that includes such items as email or Drive and any emails sent to them will bounce back. Access will be restored when the employee returns to active status in PeopleSoft.
  • Terminations for cause: Google Workspace accounts and University logins will be closed and inactivated within one day for employees terminated for "cause" or "absence." (TER/INV and TER/ABS action/reasons)

Questions? HR departments should e-mail iam@umn.edu if they have any questions about these changes.
